Mario Kovač, Director of the HPC Architecture and Application Research Center and Chief Communications Officer of the European Processor Initiative, attended the locally hosted European Space Agency Earth Observation workshop, held on March 5-6, 2020.
Zagreb’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing hosted experts on the topic of Space powering the Green Deal and the Digital Economy.
The workshop was jointly organized by the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the Zagreb University and the European Space Agency under the auspices of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Prof. Kovač took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of HPC in many scientific and industrial fields, and pertaining to the topic at hand, he explained how HPC is an integral part even in building space vehicles.
